The Vegout Voyage Secret Society Scoop

β˜€οΈ Think you got what it takes to crack the new Mini Voyage? ⛰️

I thought it'd be fun to play a physical-activity-themed game seeing that many people are out and about around the holiday break (and yes, I am now realizing January might be a tad too late, mea culpa 🫠) Based on the clues, match each of the four people to one activity that suits them best. No activity can be assigned to more than one person.

Clues:

  • Sally and Bill are fit and enjoy physical challenges.
  • Bill longs to be on TV shows like The Amazing Race. Puzzles to solve? He's born ready. Time constraints? Bring it on.
  • Bob wants an activity that can double as a romantic date in February.
  • Sally is a millennial obsessed with Harry Potter growing up.
  • Bob just moved to a major city in 2025 and had made a new year resolution to explore it more.
  • Compared to gym rats like Sally, Sue's exercises focus on getting some sun in real life.
  • Sue and Bob embrace mobile app games.
  • Sally doesn't really care for puzzle games.
  • Bill is a map buff. Navigating in the wilderness is his jam.
  • Sue wants to bring both her grandma and her teen along, so she seeks an activity flexible in timing, duration, and difficulty.
  • Bob loves a good story related to the real-life locations he is at.
  • Sally and Sue love collecting souvenirs. Sally displays her collection in real life while Sue shows off her digital collection from her phone.

List of possible activities to choose from:

Orienteering

Pokemon GO

Letterboxing

Geocaching

Zombies, Run!

Rogaining

Questo

MIT Mystery Hunt

Conqueror Virtual Challenges

CluedUpp

Your answers:

Sue's activity is ____________________.

Bob's activity is ____________________.

Sally's activity is ____________________.

Bill's activity is ____________________.

Cirque du Soleil is headquartered in the French-speaking Montreal of Canada. You can learn more about them and their collection of shows on their website.

The answer to the challenge printed on the Vegout Voyage shipping boxes spells "VEGOUT VOYAGE." Did you guess it? ISO 3166-1 is an international standard for country codes. There are three sets of codes one can choose from: two-letter country abbreviations, three-letter country abbreviations, and the numeric three-digit country codes. To solve the shipping box challenge, you will have to guess the country name and then translate that into different sets of country codes.

The answer to the riddle is Angola, with a two-digit ISO country code of AO. The answer to the image is Egypt, with a three-digit ISO country code of EGY. The answer to the Sudoku is copied below, which surfaces three numbers, 548, representing Vanuatu. I then have a subtle hint asking you to convert numbers to alphabet, pointing you to the correct letters, VUT. Is this subtle hint too subtle? Please yell at me if you played and struggled!
